Louvre or Louvered Door or Jalousie Door, is comprised of parallel slats of wood.

There are two types of slats: fixed slats or movable slats. In movable slats, these parallel slats can be opened and closed like venetian blinds. Louvre doors permit open ventilation whilst preserving privacy and preventing the passage of light to the interior. Louvre doors are used extensively in tropical architecture.
